In "A Soul in Tears," Trisha Evensen depicts the essentialness for a shattered person to experience silence, peace, and support in order to reconnect with the soul and find the inner strength that resonates within. As the chair and the poem's lyrical rhythm and dynamics flow through space and time, one connects body and soul. The chair's undulating form creates a supporting, intimate haven that cradles the body into a calm. When you finally find enough peace to reflect upon yourself and your surroundings, you realize that you have the power, the courage, and the hope to not give up.
